If you are looking for a Christchurch venue with ambience and history this 110-year-old family home is the ideal setting for your next function. Plan a picture-perfect garden ceremony in the expansive heritage gardens.

There are plenty of leafy pathways and quaint wooden bridges that offer the perfect backdrop for photos. In springtime, the famous Rhododendron and Azalea display forms a colourful backdrop to your guest’s enjoying bubbly and canapes on the banks of the Ilam stream.

Step into our beautiful vintage bar on the ground floor with wooden panelling, fire place and original sideboard dating from 1910. Our main bar has an impressive twelve craft beers on tap with vintage brass beer pulls. In winter nothing beats our open fire for a cosy and memorable gathering.

The upstairs dining room provides a classic setting for a sumptuous dinner or alternative ceremony area if the weather isn’t perfect. With its William Morris wallpaper in warm tones with cream
wooden trim this room speaks of an elegant past. It is big enough to seat 108 guests for dinner and has its own private bar upstairs to serve drinks during dinner.
