The store is a New Zealand owned, family business – run for 30 years by Westport locals, Kathryn & Warren, who have now passed the shop on to their daughter, Rachelle. Growing up in the Karamea & Westport region, Rachelle enjoys the local environment with its stunning rainforests, amazing rivers, secluded beaches and rugged mountains – all the best you can get for fishing, tramping, camping, mountain biking and just relaxing. The Buller District has a rich history of mining and still today has New Zealand’s largest, most productive coal mines.
