Omatua is an exquisite rural riverside venue nestled in Rissington, encompassing five acres of gardens and lawns. This enchanting location is ideal for any season, offering a variety of options for wedding ceremonies amidst its expansive grounds, which provide endless photographic opportunities. Alternatively, envision an intimate fireside winter celebration in the charming ‘Von Dadelzen’ room.

Our property is wheelchair accessible and is equipped with a commercial kitchen, restroom facilities, and accommodations for up to 47 guests, along with ample space for camping.

The indoor venue, ‘Riddell Lodge,’ accommodates up to 120 guests for seated Weddings and up to 200 guests for standing cocktail styled events. For a more intimate setting, our dining room offers a space for 60-80 seated guests, complete with a lovely fireplace.

Additionally, we offer the flexibility to host marquee-style weddings, partnering with the local company, ‘Flagship Events.’ Their tailored packages include everything you need for a stunning outdoor celebration, from marquee and lighting to setup and breakdown, as well as a dance floor and other rental items.

Conveniently located just a 25-minute drive from Hawke’s Bay Airport, Omatua is easily accessible for guests traveling from across the country.

We love to see a wide selection of content and details that tell the story of your wedding day.

All content must be original and has not been published elsewhere.

Couples must have photographers permission to share all content with us prior to your submission and vice versa.
