Rossburn Receptions was built in 2002 by Richard and Dawn Spark. Richard had developed a large social history museum over 20 years and a venue was needed to entertain busloads and visitors to the museum.
Richard and Dawn decided to build Rossburn Receptions big enough with the idea of a wedding or two. They had no idea what was going to happen and around 400 weddings have been hosted, plus 100s of celebrations of all sorts. The building is 20m by 12m with a commercial kitchen.
A further room 12m x 6m is available adjacent.
In 2010 a Chapel was added to the complex, a lovely peaceful space that seats 180 people. Most couples have their ceremony in the Chapel but garden weddings are possible.
Wedding guests have the opportunity to wander through the museum between the ceremony and reception. There is also a playground for children and lots of lawn area.
The complex is set amongst very old mature trees and parking is on-site. BYO food and beverages. We do our best to make your day special.
