The Cook Islands borders are open for two-way quarantine free travel with New Zealand from 14 January 2021 for fully vaccinated travellers. The Cook Islands government has confirmed that after opening the borders will not close again.

This is supported by the Edgewater Peace of Mind Policy, in place for the whole of the pandemic, of no cancellation charges and full refund of deposits for both individual and group bookings if travel is not possible because of border restrictions. This policy continues.
